If you’re looking for luxury apartments to rent, then congratulations, because you’ve made it. You’ve defied the odds and come out on top despite the sluggish economy. Although life is probably a little bit easier for you now, you’re probably having some trouble finding an apartment to suit the new luxury living lifestyle you’ve earned.
I know that when I first moved to the city, it seemed like I would never find any Philadelphia apartment buildings with the style and amenities I really wanted. That’s not to say that there weren’t any luxury apartments in Philadelphia–it’s just that I wanted to find the one. After learning a thing or two, I was thankfully able to find a luxury living space that was perfect for me.
Here’s a few things I learned the hard way.
Prioritize.
The reason I had so much trouble finding a luxury apartment was because I didn’t want to compromise on anything. Chances are you’ll never find a luxury living space that has everything you could ever dream of. Instead, consider what’s most important to you. Do you want to be close to work or would you rather live in an artsy neighborhood? Do you need to have a lot of light? Do you want a furnished apartment? Imagine your perfect apartment, and try to pin down what makes it so special.
Ask Around.
As tirelessly as you may search online, chances are you won’t find every single apartment that’s available. That’s why you have to exhaust every available way to find a place. Ask your coworkers, your friends, your family, your social networks, and anywhere else you can think of if they’ve heard of any apartment openings that you might be interested in. This is surprisingly effective, believe it or not. It’s how I was able to find my own luxury living space, in fact.
Trust Your Gut.
Chances are you’ll know the perfect apartment when you see it. If your gut tells you to move there, do it. Any hesitation may make you lose out on your potential luxury living space, so have your checkbook ready. Conversely, if your gut is telling you to stay away, then flee.
